Over the years I have collected hundreds of miniature people, animals and objects, which have resided in disorderly fashion in every corner of my studio. In an effort to organize them and to test their artistic potential, I have let a few of them become actors and props in The Residents series.

I have staged them in simple scenes to illustrate universal life issues and to explore human relationships and our devotion to animals. Playing with scale and illusion-versus-reality, I address our search for identity and our continual need for recognition that sometimes make us take extraordinary steps in life.
