About the Artist
Eva Sköld Westerlind is a fine art photographer living and working in Seattle, Washington. Born and raised in Sweden, she is a graduate of the University of Stockholm in Sweden and the Photographic Center Northwest in Seattle.
Sköld Westerlind’s photographs have been exhibited in the Northwest at G. Gibson Gallery, Center On Contemporary Art, Whatcom Museum, Tacoma Art Museum, Port Angeles Art Center, Nordic Heritage Museum, Seattle Art Museum Gallery and Chase Gallery in Washington State, at Hoffman Gallery in Portland, Oregon, as well as in Chicago, Washington D.C., Texas, New Mexico, California, Idaho and Sweden.
Several magazines, including Harper’s Magazine, have published Sköld Westerlind’s images. Her photographs are included in public and corporate collections in the Seattle area at Harborview Medical Center, King County Arts Collection, Seattle Public Utilities, City of Tacoma, Microsoft Corporation, University of Washington Medical Center, in addition to Houston Museum of Fine Arts in Texas, Museum of New Mexico, Santa Fe, as well as in Sweden at Jämtlands Läns Landsting and Kalmar Läns Landsting.
Sköld Westerlind was twice awarded the Artist Trust GAP award. She was represented by G. Gibson Gallery in Seattle for fifteen years.
Melt, a fine art book with Eva Sköld Westerlind's photographs, was published 2015 by Pine Needle Books, Bellevue, WA.
